Formation Flying

Description

Usually only military pilots get to learn formation flying. Why should they have all the fun? And fun this is! Ask any pilot you know who flies formation how much fun ‘Formation Friday’ is and you’ll want to join in! Fly an aeroplane in formation with one, five or even eight other aircraft. Whether flying with a friend or a group of aviation enthusiasts, you are sure to enjoy formation flying.

Pre-Requisites

  • Recreational Pilots Licence (RPL)
  • A wingman (you will need another pilot to be doing the training with you)

Course Structure and Time Allocation

Briefings Classroom based briefings 7 hours

Cost

Our 152’s: $2,060 (includes briefings)

Your aircraft: $560 (briefings) + $660 (instructor time) = $1,220

*Note: All hours are CASA minimum requirements or recommended minimum.

Cost Exclusions:

  • CASA exam fees
  • Additional training or tuition required to meet the standard
  • CASA flight testing fees
  • Landing charges and Air Services fees at aerodromes outside of Bacchus Marsh
