Our new program will take you from zero experience through to being a Commercial Pilot with a Multi Engine Instrument Rating in as little as 18 months. Usually, these qualification require you to hold at least 2 diplomas and maybe even go to different schools.

 Course Outline

Private Pilot Licence

This is the first step on your journey to becoming a Commercial Pilot. You will need to successfully complete all ground theory, practical flight assessments and flight test in order to qualify for the next stage (AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)).

Approx. Duration: 12 weeks

Entry Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age at the completion of the course
  • Hold or ability to hold a Class 2 Medical
  • Ability to hold an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card

55 hours Flying Training:

  •  45 Dual Hours
  • 10 Solo Hours

Instrument Flight Training – PPL Entry 

During this stage you will complete not only your Multi Engine Instrument Rating but a lot of hour building. All of the training during this stage is directly credited to your Commercial Licence training and will significantly reduce the amount of time required to finish your licence.

This Diploma will provide you with:

  • Instrument Flight Rating
  • Multi Engine Rating
  • IREX
  • 4 Commercial Theory Subjects

Minimum Duration: 42 weeks

Entry Requirements:

  • Hold Private Pilot Licence (PPLA)

98 hours Flying Training:

  •  23.5 hours single engine dual
  • 46 hours single engine solo
  • 28.5 hours multi engine dual

20 hours Simulator Training:

  • 20 hours in accredited simulator

Delivery

  • Ground theory – this involves CASA endorsed Flight Instructor led institution based classroom delivery, workshops, seminars, tutorials and case studies.
  • Required Commercial Pilot theory subjects.
  • Practical In-Flight Training.
  • Flight Simulation.
  • Briefings.

Commercial Flight Training

At the completion of your PPL and Diploma training you will only need to finalise your commercial training through the completion of the final 3 theory subjects and some additional pilot in command hours.

Minimum Duration: not applicable

Entry Requirements:

  • Successful completion of PPL and AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)

20 hours Flying Training:

  • 6 Dual Hours
  • 14 Solo Hours

Delivery

  • Ground theory – this involves CASA endorsed fight instructor led institution based classroom delivery, workshops, seminars, tutorials and case studies.
  • Required Commercial Pilot theory subjects.
  • Practical In-Flight Training.
  • Briefings.
