VET in Schools (VETiS)

TVSA Pilot Training is proactive when it comes to expanding our aviation community. This is why we are increasing our involvement in the Victorian Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS). We want high school students to have the chance to get a head start on their aviation career.

This nationally accredited program provides students with a partial completion of AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane). Being a tailor made program, it has just the right balance of practical flying hours and classroom theory. We have designed this program to provide students with a realistic experience of what it takes to become a pilot, while having fun inside and outside the classroom!

Description

TVSA Pilot Training is helping secondary school students get a hands-on introduction to the world of aviation.

This 2 year course will cover basic pilot procedures as well as giving you 14 hours flying experience. The units covered in the program directly contribute to AVI50215 – Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane), reducing amount of theory and flights needed to attain your diploma.

This unique and practical program is ran at our home aerodrome in Bacchus Marsh, as well as, at the Ballarat Airport. Giving more students and more schools the opportunity to fly as a part of their VCE/VCAL studies.

TVSA Pilot Training encourages all their student to explore pathways and be adventurous with their training. This is why we have designed this program specifically for students who have limited or no flying experience.

Our small class sizes and experienced instructors ensure that all students get the best head start on their aviation career.

This program is highly beneficial for any students that are looking to become a pilot or work in the aviation industry to complete this program.

Where will this get me?

Our VETiS program is designed as an entrance into AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane). Once you have successfully completed the VETiS program, you will have reduced your diploma requirements from 154 flying hours to 140 flying hours, as well as, completing all briefings in phase 1 of AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane).

From this diploma you are go anywhere with your studies.

Guaranteed Further Training

All TVSA VETiS students are guaranteed a place in our AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane) on completion of the course.
