Commercial Pilot Licence
The Commercial Pilot Licence is the first of the professional licences that allows you to obtain employment as a pilot.
There are two ways of achieving your Commercial Pilots' Licence;
- 200 hour course
- 150 hour integrated course, the Certificate IV in Aviation. Alternatively, you may choose to complete the 'basic' CPL in preference to the Certificate IV.
If your flying training has not been completed in conjunction with the CASA CPL 150 hour integrated course, you will not be eligible for the Certificate IV. This does not mean you are unable to obtain a CPL however you will need to complete the 200 hour course.
Differences between the Certificate IV in Aviation and the 'basic' CPL can be found by downloading the respective brochures.
There are many exciting opportunities for Commercial Pilots in Australia and overseas. The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) is the first of the Professional Pilot Licences.TVSA, as a registered Training Organisation, is able to award the Certificate IV in Aviation to those students who complete the 150 hour integrated Commercial Pilot Licence.
