Special design feature Endorsements

Special design feature endorsements are required for the following features on some aircraft;

• Constant speed unit (CSU)
• Retractable undercarriage
• Tail-wheel undercarriage
• Ski landing gear 
• Float alighting gear
• Floating hull
• Pressurisation system

At TVSA we can assist you with the CSU and retractable undercarriage endorsements on a regular basis. Tail-wheel undercarriage endorsements can be performed if a suitable aircraft is provided.

Minimum hours required for the CSU/ Retractable undercarriage endorsements is 3 hours, however 5 hours is more realistic. The Piper Arrow aircraft allows you to complete both endorsements simultaneously.
