Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) Theory

Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) Theory Course

Duration approximately 9 weeks, including exams

The ATPL theory course comprises of seven subjects (Human Factors, Air Law, Meteorology, Flight Planning, Performance & Loading, Navigation, Aerodynamics & Aircraft Systems). The three 'easy' subjects (Human Factors, Air Law and Meteorology) are self study with guidance from our theory instructor on campus whilst the  'harder subjects' are done in conjunction with Advanced Flight Theory (AFT) in Maroochydore, QLD.

Nathan Higgins, co-owner of AFT has had many years experience in teaching the ATPL syllabus and is second to none in his field. Because of this, we strongly recommend that all TVSA students who undertake the ATPL theory spend 5 weeks on the Sunshine Coast with Nathan to ensure high quality delivery of these subjects. Besides, who wouldn't want to study on the Sunshine Coast for a while?

Accomodation can be arranged for you through TVSA however all costs for transportation and accomodation are in curred by the student.

For a list of current ATPL exam costs go to the Assesment Services Limited (ASL) website and click on exam charges. Exam fees are not included in the delivery fee.
