Instructor Rating

The Instructor Rating allows you to teach others to fly.

Before becoming an Instructor, you must have a CPL and NVFR.

Instructor training requires a specialised course involving 50 hours of flight training. 30 hours mimumum of this is done with a senior instructor. The remainder is self practice in the company of either an approved instructor or fellow trainee instructors.

The duration of the course is 8 weeks full-time. It can also be done part-time according to student availability.

On graduation you are awarded a Grade 3 Instructor Rating which means you can instruct under direct supervision at a Flying School.

After gaining instructional experience and undergoing further training and testing, you can progress to be a Grade 2 and then Grade 1 Instructor. In fact, being a Flying Instructor can be a career in itself.

Most students who complete their Grade III instructor Rating with TVSA are given the opprtunity to consoldate their training by working on Flightcamp.

Cost of the Instructor Rating course is $13,500.00
