The course is full-time over a 12 to 15 month period, or it is possible to be done part time. Provided the student passes the exams and flight tests for the different levels, they will have logged around 200 hours of flying.  These hours are broken down into phases with specific hours in each aircraft type for each level.  

General Flying Progress Test (GFPT):
30 Hours Dual (C150/152)            
10 Hours Solo

Private Pilots Licence (PPL):
20 Hours Dual      
10 Hours Solo      
5 Hours Simulator

Night VFR :          
10 Hours Dual

Constant Speed/Retractable Endorsement (CSU):
3 Hours Dual (PA28R)

Make-up Time (Command)            
50 Hours  (Various)

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL): 
6.5 Hours Dual  (PA28R)             


Multi-Engine Instrument Rating:               
20 Hours Synthetic Trainer  Dual            
5 Hours Single Engine  Dual           
15 Hours Multi-Engine  Dual     

Total Hours: 185 Plus Flight tests.      



Cost:  $57,500.00                                        

The cost  includes all theory, text books, pre-solo, area solo, BAK and PPL theory exams, licence test fees for the first attempt only, initial issue of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) documents, basic navigation equipment, log book and maps.

The CPL and IREX theory exams are additional.   However should the student require additional training or tuition, or have to re-sit any exam or flight test, then an additional cost will be charged at the current company rate plus 10%. 


Costs quoted may vary in accordance with fuel and CASA charges (which are beyond our control).

Aerodrome  and  Airservices charges are not included. These charges are additional and will be billed separately.

On enrolment the student is required to pay a non-refundable administrative fee of $3000.00. This is not an additional fee. Fees may be paid in accordance with a schedule of payments provided by the school.

Refund policy- A seperate refund policy will be provided

The student will need to purchase a headset (which can be purchased through the school).  The cost of the course does not include charges for medical examinations  which must be completed and passed prior to commencement of the course.  There are no subject pre-requisites or Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) cut off. 

Accommodation on site is available on request.
